Tell me about a distinct memory you have from your research internship?
I loved working on manuscripts with Dr Nasseri. He was attentive and taught me so much about his field. I was also able to observe procedures. Through my internship I got published and Dr Nasseri wrote letters to medical schools on my behalf which I’m positive made a difference in terms of me being accepted.

The IRB and manuscript writing process
What did you learn the most about yourself in your research internship?
It confirmed my belief that I wanted to go to medical school.
Why would you recommend this research internship to others who follow your footsteps?
It’s a great experience to shadow and work on papers.
What are your long term career goals?
To enter into the field of health policy. I can currently on track and just finished the MPH program at UCLA.
How did the research internship help you meet your long term career goals?
Dr Nasseri wrote letters for me that helped me get into medical school
