Tell me about a distinct memory you have from your research internship?

Getting to use the robotic surgery machine at one of Dr Nasseri’s presentations for it. Traveling all over the country to present our findings and getting to meet amazing Doctors from around the world.

What did you learn the most about surgery/medicine so far in your research internship?

I learned a great deal about Robotics and Laparoscopic surgeries, as well as the difficulties in being a Doctor and the traits needed to be a great one.

What did you learn the most about yourself in your research internship?

The things I’m passionate about and what I wanted to do.

Why would you recommend this research internship to others who follow your footsteps?

It is a great experience to do some research while being up close and personal to a medical team/surgeons. You get all kinds of cool clinical experience/access and the opportunity to do some meaningful work while gaining experiences around the country presenting it.

What are your long term career goals?

Currently, to rise in the ranks of software engineering. Not sure after that, may eventually want to circle back around to teaching at some point.

How did the research internship help you meet your long term career goals?

Allowed me to have a closer experience to medicine and determine whether it was right for me. Also gave me access to cutting edge robotics and medical techniques.

If you could have any meal in the world delivered to you right now, what would it be?

My mom’s lamb shank, herb rice and yogurt.
